Madeleine O'Hehir scored 22 points as Norths Bears secured an 82-76 victory against Newcastle at North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre. O'Hehir was outstanding, shooting 9-from-16 from the field including 2-from-7 from deep, while Peggy Schell dominated the glass with 14 rebounds to give the Bears control throughout.
The Bears led for nearly 38 minutes of game time, building a 19-point advantage at one stage. Newcastle fought valiantly behind Nicole Munger's impressive triple-double effort (18 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists), but Norths' balanced attack featuring three players with 15+ points proved too much. Carla Pitman and Isabelle Morgan added 15 points each for the Bears, who shot an efficient 39.5% from the field.
BA CoE 79 def Hornsby KuRingGai 59 — Watch the Replay
Sitaya Fagan delivered a stellar double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds as BA CoE dominated Hornsby KuRingGai 79-59 at The Brickpit. Fagan was nearly unstoppable, shooting 11-from-21 from the field and adding five free throws in a commanding performance.
BA CoE controlled the paint, outscoring Hornsby 52-24 inside while dominating the boards 54-37. Zara Russell contributed 20 points, while Emilija Dakic added 11 points and five steals in the comprehensive victory. For Hornsby, Jessie May Hall scored 20 points and Ay'Anna Bey added 15, but the team struggled from the field, shooting just 33.3% overall in the 20-point defeat.
Inner West 94 def Illawarra 84 — Watch the Replay
Kristina Moore erupted for an exceptional 47 points as Inner West outlasted Illawarra 94-84 in a high-scoring thriller at The Snakepit Stadium. Moore delivered one of the most impressive individual performances of the season, shooting a blistering 19-from-31 from the field, including 5-from-9 from beyond the arc, while adding 10 rebounds.
The contest featured 32 lead changes and 12 ties in a back-and-forth battle that showcased offensive firepower from both sides. Tahlia Tupaea recorded a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds for Inner West, while Illawarra was led by Asha Phillips (21 points), Tsubasa Nisbet (19 points), and Ella Dent (18 points). Inner West's superior shooting efficiency (48.6% compared to Illawarra's 37.3%) ultimately made the difference in this entertaining contest.
Manly Warringah 75 def Maitland 66 — Watch the Replay
Sari Mowbray scored 17 points as Manly Warringah secured a 75-66 victory against Maitland at Maitland Federation Centre. Mowbray shot 5-from-12 from the field and hit 4-of-9 three-pointers to lead a balanced Manly attack that saw four players score in double figures.
Manly controlled most of the game, leading for over 35 minutes while getting solid contributions from Zoey Miller (15 points, 8 rebounds), Josie Bulman (13 points), and Taylor Wurtz (12 points). For Maitland, Shakera Reilly scored 18 points and Kasey Neubert recorded a dominant double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Manly's three-point shooting advantage, as they connected on 10 triples compared to Maitland's six.
Hills 113 def Sutherland 80 — Watch the Replay
Hannah Griffin scored 19 points in just 21 minutes as Hills dominated Sutherland 113-80 at Sutherland Basketball Stadium. Griffin shot 5-of-10 from three-point range, helping Hills to an outstanding 50% conversion rate from beyond the arc as they made 19 triples for the game.
Hills showcased impressive offensive balance with five players scoring 17+ points, including Kennedy Johnson (17), Jade Kirisome (17), Sienna Clark (17), and Elizabeth Smith (17). Smith was particularly effective, going a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range. Despite Madeleine Norris' valiant 29-point effort for Sutherland, Hills' hot shooting and balanced attack proved overwhelming, as they built their lead to as many as 33 points during a dominant performance.
Albury Wodonga 103 def Sydney 86 — Watch the Replay
Caitlyn Jones exploded for 40 points as Albury Wodonga defeated Sydney 103-86 at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre. Jones was brilliant from start to finish, shooting 15-from-30 from the field, including an exceptional 7-from-8 from three-point range, while adding six steals and 11 assists for a complete performance.
Albury Wodonga's offense was firing on all cylinders, with Brynn Masikewich recording a double-double (25 points, 19 rebounds) and Riley Lupfer adding 21 points. The home team was particularly effective from beyond the arc, shooting 44.7% on three-pointers. Sydney's Abigail Curtin tried to keep her team competitive with 35 points and 9 rebounds, while Piper Anderson added 22 points, but Albury Wodonga's three-point shooting edge (17 makes to Sydney's 8) proved decisive.
Canberra 74 def Central Coast 44 — Watch the Replay
Carlie Smith recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds as Canberra cruised to a 74-44 victory against Central Coast at Southern Cross Basketball Stadium. Smith was efficient, shooting 6-of-13 from the field, while Callie Bourne also posted a double-double with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists for the dominant home side.
Canberra's defence was the story of the game, holding Central Coast to just 27.3% shooting from the field and forcing 19 turnovers. Despite Tai Wakelin-Gray's impressive 21-rebound effort for Central Coast and Mikaela Dombkins' team-high 14 points, the visitors never led in the contest as Canberra built a lead that reached 32 points. Abby Solway added 11 points for Canberra in the comprehensive win.
