Australian WNBA superstar Ezi Magbegor had her own block party, putting on a defensive clinic with five rejections to lead the Seattle Storm to an 83-77 win over the Dallas Wings at Climate Pledge Arena.

The Wings got off to a promising start, taking a 20-19 lead after the first quarter behind DiJonai Carrington's aggressive scoring and extended their advantage in the second period, outscoring Seattle 18-11 to build a 38-30 halftime lead as the Storm struggled to find their offensive rhythm.

Seattle mounted a fierce comeback in the third quarter, flipping the script with a 24-17 scoring advantage to cut the deficit to just one point entering the final period. The Storm's defensive intensity increased dramatically, with Magbegor protecting the rim and forcing Dallas into difficult shots.

The fourth quarter belonged to Seattle as they outscored the Wings 29-22 to secure the six-point victory. Erica Wheeler provided a crucial spark off the bench, controlling the tempo and finding open teammates while contributing 11 points and seven assists in just 24 minutes.

Gabby Williams led Seattle with an efficient 18-point performance, shooting 6-from-13 from the field and converting five of six free throws. Her all-around contribution included four assists and three steals, consistently disrupting Dallas' offensive sets. Nneka Ogwumike added 14 points and nine rebounds, providing a steady interior presence for the Storm.

Despite the loss, Myisha Hines-Allen delivered a double-double for Dallas with 16 points and 12 rebounds, shooting an efficient 6-from-9 from the field. However, Dallas struggled collectively, converting just 34.9 percent of their field goal attempts compared to Seattle's 48.4 percent.

The Storm's defensive dominance was highlighted by 10 blocks — five from Magbegor alone — which proved decisive in containing the Wings' interior scoring.

The match-up was part of the WNBA Commissioner's Cup.
