Nine Australians Selected for Nike All-Asia Camp
Nine Aussies have been named in a 12-person Trans-Tasman squad for the Nike All-Asia Camp.
Basketball Australia has announced the selection of nine Australian athletes among a combined 12-person Trans-Tasman squad to attend the 2025 Nike All-Asia Basketball Camp, held from 11-15 June in Beijing, China.
Now in its 18th year, the Camp will bring together 90 of the top male and female players from 11 countries and territories to train and compete alongside the region’s best.
The camp provides an opportunity for emerging stars to train, compete, and grow under the guidance of NBA development coaches including Dave Severns, Danielle Viglione, Charlie Torres, and Aaron Miles.
Across the five-day program, athletes will take part in a comprehensive schedule of skill development sessions, team scrimmages, and performance testing.
Executive General Manager – High Performance, Jason Smith, said the selections reflect the growing reputation of Australia’s basketball pathways on the international stage.
“It’s a great opportunity to showcase the success of the Australian basketball system and pathways.
“To have nine talented athletes selected to attend this prestigious event is a testament to their hard work and the commitment of their pathway coaches to their development.
“The exposure they will receive to elite coaching and the best competition in the region will no doubt continue to contribute to their progress.”
