Will Magnay returns to the JackJumpers for NBL26 after a strong NBA Summer League campaign.

The Tasmania JackJumpers have confirmed that centre Will Magnay will return to the club for the 2025/26 NBL season, following a strong off-season campaign in the United States.

Magnay recently featured in the NBA Summer League with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he impressed against elite-level opposition. He will return to Tasmania this week to join the JackJumpers’ pre-season preparations, linking up with the squad during their ongoing mini-camp.

“Summer League was an amazing and really valuable opportunity for me; I loved the experience,” Magnay said. “But I’m now excited to get home and get after it with the new group. I think it can be a really strong, competitive group and I can’t wait to lock in with them and prepare for another season in Tassie.”

JackJumpers General Manager of Basketball Darren Smith praised Magnay’s efforts abroad and welcomed his return to the team.

“We congratulate Will on a fantastic Summer League campaign. It’s an incredible opportunity to play with and against some of the best talent in the world, and Will put in some great performances over there,” Smith said.

“Of course, we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome him back to Tasmania and to have him as a crucial part of our team this season.”

Magnay is also set to join the Australian Boomers squad for FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers, where he will link up with fellow JackJumpers Sean Macdonald and Josh Bannan.
