The Rockingham Flames outduelled the Perry Lakes Hawks 98-92 in a thrilling contest featuring 18 lead changes at Mike Barnett Sports Complex.
Alexandra Ciabattoni delivered an outstanding performance with 25 points on 62.5% shooting and eight assists without a single turnover, while Marena Whittle contributed 23 points including 6-from-7 from the free throw line.
Despite the loss, the Hawks received stellar performances from Amy Jacobs, who recorded a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Megan McKay, who matched with 25 points and 12 rebounds on an efficient 12-from-16 shooting.
The game remained tight throughout with neither team leading by more than 10 points, but Rockingham's superior three-point shooting (45.8% compared to Perry Lakes' 28.1%) proved decisive down the stretch.
Mandurah def Lakeside 101-87 — Watch the Replay
The Mandurah Magic outlasted the Lakeside Lightning 101-87 in an overtime thriller at Mandurah Aquatic & Rec Centre.
Claire Jacobs powered the Magic with 28 points while Grace Berg added 25 points and 9 rebounds on efficient 50% shooting, including 3-from-5 from downtown.
Lakeside's Teige Morrell posted a dominant double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Oceane Kounkou contributed 21 points including 4-from-12 from three-point range. The teams traded leads 28 times in a back-and-forth battle, but Mandurah's superior ball movement (32 assists to 16) and defensive pressure (16 steals) eventually secured the victory in the extra period.
Warwick def East Perth 113-96 — Watch the Replay
The Warwick Senators overpowered the East Perth Eagles 113-96 at Warwick Stadium behind Stacey Barr's explosive 34-point performance.
Barr was on fire, shooting 52.6% from the field and a perfect 9-from-9 from the free throw line, while Chloe Forster recorded an impressive double-double with 30 points and 10 assists.
East Perth was led by Abby Cubilo's 20 points and nine assists, with Awatea Leach adding 19 points and seven rebounds. Despite shooting a solid 60.5% on two-point attempts, the Eagles struggled from beyond the arc, connecting on just 7-from-27 three-pointers (25.9%).
Warwick pulled away in the final quarter, extending their lead to as much as 23 points to secure their commanding victory.
Perth def SW Slammers 116-64 — Watch the Replay
The Perth Redbacks dominated the SW Slammers 116-64 with a relentless performance at Eaton Rec Centre. Natalie Chou led the offensive onslaught with 25 points including 6-from-10 from three-point range, while Alaska Rhebok added 23 points on efficient 58.3% shooting.
Anneli Maley delivered a monster double-double with 22 points and 23 rebounds (including 16 defensive boards) while adding seven steals in a stellar all-around performance.
The Slammers struggled against Perth's suffocating defence, shooting just 32.8% from the field. Mykea Gray provided a bright spot for the Slammers with 26 points and five steals, but it wasn't enough to overcome Perth's 67-30 rebounding advantage.
Willetton def Goldfields 80-69 — Watch the Replay
The Willetton Tigers secured a hard-fought victory against the Goldfields Giants 80-69 at Niels Hansen Basketball Stadium.
Zitina Aokuso dominated with 25 points on 62.5% shooting while adding 9 rebounds, and Sharn Hayward provided excellent outside scoring with 21 points including 5-from-10 from three-point range.
Goldfields was led by Nici Gilday's 24 points and Erin Antosh's double-double (21 points, 13 rebounds). Despite the Giants' efficiency from two-point range (60.5%), they struggled mightily from beyond the arc, hitting just 3-from-16 three-pointers (18.75%).
Willetton's balanced attack and superior perimeter shooting (36.4% from three) ultimately made the difference in a game that featured 18 lead changes.
Cockburn def Eastern Suns 103-64 — Watch the Replay
Jessie Edwards delivered a dominant performance with 27 points and 11 rebounds as Cockburn crushed Eastern Suns 103-64 at Wally Hagan Stadium.
The centre was outstanding, shooting 11-from-16 from the field at a blistering 68.75 percent efficiency. Stephanie Gorman added 20 points and seven rebounds while Jewel Williams contributed 17 points and eight assists in the comprehensive victory.
Cockburn's defence stifled the Eastern Suns throughout the contest, forcing 29 turnovers which they converted into 17 points. Despite Karly Murphy's valiant effort with a massive double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds for Eastern Suns, the visitors struggled mightily from the field, shooting a dismal 33.8 percent.
Cockburn's biggest lead reached 44 points during their overwhelming 20-0 scoring run, with their bench contributing 21 points to complete the rout.
Mandurah def Perry Lakes 106-105 — Watch the Replay
Alex Wilson exploded for 30 points, including seven three-pointers, as Mandurah edged Perry Lakes 106-105 in a thrilling contest at Bendat Basketball Centre.
The Mandurah guard shot an impressive 7-from-13 from beyond the arc, while Claire Jacobs added 23 points on efficient 9-from-13 shooting. McKenna Dale contributed 22 points, including six triples in an exceptional outside shooting display.
Despite the narrow defeat, Perry Lakes' Alex Fowler delivered a stellar performance with 33 points, nine rebounds and five assists, shooting a remarkable 11-from-16 from the field. Jayda Clark added 29 points, shooting a perfect 11-from-11 from the free-throw line while adding seven assists and four steals.
The game featured four lead changes with Mandurah's stellar 52.9 percent three-point shooting (18-from-34) ultimately proving the difference in a contest where both teams shot over 47 percent from the field.
